The Dayton Daily News recently ran a story about the senior housing boom sweeping through the Dayton, Ohio area. One of the communities featured in the piece is Bethany Village.
Bethany Village is in the process of constructing nine new Grand Cottages on the community’s 100-acre Centerville campus. The new cottages replace older homes.
The two million dollar project began in earnest a little over a year ago. All nine new homes are reserved and new residents will move in by December.
Other communities are growing as well, meaning many millions of dollars will flow into the southern Ohio economy, creating new jobs in the process.
According to the newspaper article, population trends are driving the need for more senior housing options in Ohio. Aging baby boomers will demand more choices and comforts when selecting retirement communities.
