On February 18, 2015, Bethany Village hosted an AOD regional users meeting where professionals from 10 Ohio retirement communities gathered to learn more about the use of electronic medical record software Answers On Demand (AOD) and ClinicSync, a software that connects hospitals and physicians improving data exchange between them.
Answers On Demand Software Company, headquartered in Coral Springs, Florida, encourages regional meetings among users. The first Ohio meeting was in Cleveland. This is the first users group outside of Cleveland.
Doc DeVore, Director of Clinical Informatics and Industry Relations for AOD and Linda Gardner, Sales Director Mid-Atlantic Region for AOD, presented highlights of the upcoming spring software updates.
Dan Paoletti, Chief Executive Officer for ClinicSync and Billy Cline, CliniSync Physician Liaison from the Ohio Health Information Partnership, highlighted their product’s capabilities.
Breakout sessions divided attendees into groups such as clinical, IT and financial. Attendees learned how other organizations use both AOD and ClinicSync. They also had the opportunity to ask questions of the experts and learn best practices.
Garry Kelly, Director of IT for Skilled Care Pharmacy, also attended the users meeting to discuss a planned interface that will provide efficiency for online medication orders.
Jenita Sullenger, Bethany Village R.N., and Dave Morgan, Bethany Village TIS Director, planned the meeting for Bethany’s campus. Jenita also serves as site AOD expert. In 2013, Jenita was a presenter at the User’s Educational Conference for AOD Software in Fort Lauderdale.
