Dedicated to our philosophy of Faithful Caring and employing the highest qualified professionals to serve our residents with the best quality care, Bethany Village is committed to developing and investing in our staff to further their skills.

As part of this commitment in January of 2014, Bethany Village began requiring nursing, therapy, social services and life enrichment professionals to complete a four hour Cares® Dementia Basics online training program and pass an exam to earn the Alzheimer’s Association essentiALZ™ certification.  In addition, all Bethany Village nursing professionals are also required to complete a six hour Cares® Dementia Advanced Care program and earn the Alzheimer’s Association® essentiALZ™ Plus Certification.  These certifications recognize individual staff members for being trained in and knowledgeable of quality dementia care practices.

Bethany Village is one of the two facilities in the Miami Valley region providing this online program developed by HealthCare Interactive and the Alzheimer’s Association.

Currently, over 300 Bethany Village professionals have started the four hour basics program with more than 200 staff members earning the essentiALZ™  basic certification to date.

Congratulations to the staff members who have also completed the additional six hours of training and earned the essentiALZ™ Plus certification.
