Courtyard Park life enrichment team member Angie Frison recently took residents on a special outing to several sites in Dayton including Carillon Park. After soaking up some Dayton history, the residents returned home to Bethany and snapped green beans for dinner. The residents grew the beans in their own community garden. To round out the meal, Angie shopped for red potatoes and ham, a special request from the residents.
Each year, residents from many different areas of Bethany Village come together to plant community gardens. The activity helps residents enjoy the outdoors, get some physical activity and share their talents with the greater Bethany community. Sometimes they even share their vegetables with staff members, too!
